ST. GEORGE — A driver reportedly ran a stop sign near Vernon Worthen Park, causing a three-car collision Thursday evening, police say.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m., the driver of a black Ford reportedly ran a stop sign while traveling west on 300 S. The Ford collided with a silver Toyota 4Runner driving on 400 E. The Toyota flipped onto its top, and both vehicles then hit a white SUV, St. George Police Sgt. Burkeley Christian told St. George News.
The driver and passenger in the 4Runner were transported to the hospital via Gold Cross Ambulance, but Christian said it “looked like they were going to be OK.”
Christian said the driver of the black Ford would be cited for failing to obey a stop sign.
Utah Tech Police Department and the St. George Fire Department also responded to the scene.
This report is based on statements from court documents and law enforcement officials and may not contain the full scope of findings.
