All Hallows Eve is almost here, and that means you need to be ready for ghosts, goblins, and things that go bump in the night. Make Frontier Homestead State Park part of your Halloween story with a series of fun and thrilling events to celebrate the spirit of the season.

To get you and yours into the Halloween mood, Frontier Homestead State Park offers a variety of Halloween-themed activities throughout the month of October. We’ll start off the month with an evening of ghost stories and local histories. The Iron County Historical Society invites everyone to attend their Halloween-themed meeting on October 9 at 7 PM at Frontier Homestead State Park. This event is free to the public. Our family-friendly Haunted Homestead Carnival will take place on Thursday, October 17, from 5:30 to 8 PM. The carnival includes plenty of Halloween-themed games, face painting, and other haunting surprises. Regular admission of $4 per person applies, and we offer a family price of $20 for groups of 5 to 8 people. We’ll provide our much-loved free cemetery tours on October 22. Tours begin at 5:30 and 6 PM and meet in our north parking lot. Cemetery tours are free, and donations to help support this event are appreciated.

Fall festivities will continue into the month of November, with Iron Mission Days on November 8 and 9. During Iron Mission Days, Frontier Homestead State Park, in partnership with the Cedar City Corporation, celebrates the founding of Cedar City. Enjoy the cool, crisp air along with pioneer activities and living history demonstrations. Featured activities are scheduled to include blacksmith demonstrations, rag doll making, heritage arts vendors, and more. We may even have the local HAM radio club on hand and broadcasting from the park. Admission for Iron Mission Days is just $4 per person or $20 per family.

Our Homestead Fall events are sure to spark your imagination and provide adventure for the whole family, so come join us for the fun.
